grizzly axles

Angry grizzly axles

i have an 03 660 grizz and i cant keep it from snapping axles i have changed the rear on each side twice and going 4 a thrid on the left rear again i am running monster axles now need help on figuring out why there snapping?????????????????????????????

Man that bites the pocket book big time. I would be finding out too, quick. What does an axle cost these days?

how much lift? did you turn u r hubs to gain that 1/2 in that will snappppp them fast.

running 26-10x12s no lift and these axles are $250 a pop there not cheap

OUCH. I would be really ****ed if I was having that problem for sure. I don't know how these little axles take what they do though.

I am not that familiar with the 660 but give the guys at http://www.grizzlycentral.com/ a try and see what they have to say!

I would check the welds where the differential bolts to the frame. You have to do this by prying on it as they tend to snap back in place if the welds are only partially broken. I've encountered this on Yamaha Grizzly and Rhino models.

03 was a bad year. the 02 had stronger axles then for some crazy reason Yamaha lighten the axles dia. for 03 and all hell broke lose with complaints so they went back to heaver axles in 04 and on. 03 was just a bad year for the 660 axles.

Maybe look into Gorilla axles. i have heard good things aobut them. Good luck, and remember tires don't break axles. Heavy right thumbs do.
