Default New jets and K&N??

I have a 05 350 raptor, for the last couple of days its beign running really rough. so i took it in my shop and the technician told me it might need to get rejetted. So I was wondering if I should just get a Dynojet stage 1 jets and buying a K&N that would bolt on right to the carbs' throat(eliminating the stock air box) Is this TOO much??? or would this work??
(I mostly ride dunes, no water crossings or anything too crazy)

No its not too much. I would suggest putting outwears on the K&N as well. Why would he suggest it needs to be rejetted though, have you done any other mods to it without rejetting it?

Its completly stock, other than probably me running it without the spark arrestor, he didnt really say "rejetting" but since hes a friend of mine, he said might as well get a jet kit and a filter while i was ad it.

I'd say go ahead and add your filter and rejet it and while you have your carb off clean the **** out of it.

I agree with tfunk22008. It makes no since for him to tell you that you may need to re-jet if you have no mods. The jet probably just needs cleaned out so as sidewinder suggest clean the pee pee out of it. If you plan on putting a different filter than it won't hurt to go up a size or 2. I wouldn't spend the money on the dynoJet kit. Just buy the single jets you need for the Kehien or minkuni, whatever the raptor has on it.

ya definetly don't get the dyno jet kit all that is a complete variety of jets that you will never need for just an air filter i would go up two and you can rejet for less than a buck i did the the very same thing on my 660 when i used to have it

I never touched the piolet on mine, nor did any of my friends. It doesn't hurt a thing to change it but, not a requirement like the main jet after mods.

I found a local motoshop and bought them from them. If you can't find one you can always search ebay for keihin "insert size here" jets.
