i would say your yfz would be faster due to the higher top end and more rpms however that doesn't mean that you will win its tricky to get a 450 at its maximum its not as easy as making a 700 fast but stock for stock a yamaha is just a little faster

they may both have the same top speed and you cant trust that fact because they always difffer i dont think my 09 will even get up to 78 miles an hour but idk i just know on average stock the yamaha is faster because it can rev higher and pulls harder on the top end i personally dont care on how fast you can top speed and the difference on the two with that is probably the same your right with that but through my old 06 yfz and my new 09 i would say the yamaha is faster

It is hard to tell from the factory who is fastest due to it being very difficult to create the exact same circumstances for each run with each quad. It will most definately boil down to who is the better rider between the two of you. They are so close that the better rider will win 9 times out of 10. Having the "fastest" anything is a very hard thing to accomplish if you ever accomplish it.

cody700, you are right. It would be vertiually impossible to get two 08 YFZ run the same given different factors. The what is faster than what is kind of unfair due to so many veriables that can come into play. Which ever one a particular rider is most comfortable on is the one to get because it will work for you.
