Default Quiet exhaust for Warrior?

The warrior i bought has the stock exhaust on it with the baffler removed, i guess the stock muffler is going to be the quietest?

How much louder is a aftermarket muffler?

i think it depends on the muffler. i have the stock muffler on mine with the baffle removed and it is pretty loud also.

my friend had a cobra exhaust on his (not the quite series, its the silver one) it is pretty loud but i would say they are about the same, his just sounds a lot better.

I wonder if i could just buy the baffle or (pipe outlet is what its called in the book) and bolt it on. It looks like it just slides right in but there is alot of build up on mine so i don't know if it would go in or not.

looks like you can if you look at a fiche for the warrior. part #7 on the exhaust diagram looks like it is about $60 at most places.

i doubt it but you might get lucky and find one on ebay.

if you clean it up real good and sand it you should be able to paint it with high heat paint, or ive heard of people using wood stove paint or something.

You have to use high temp paint for the exhaust. Most hardware stores and big-box chains will have high temp paints, often marketed for painting grills. Automotive stores also have paint you can use.

make sure you sand it down really good. if you just do a light sand on it the paint will come off when you wash it if you use a high pressure wash.

I had the stock with no baffle and changed to a FMF PowercoreIV.
It's a little quieter but much better sounding and better working.
