Does any of you have experience with these tire sealants? I have very slow leaks in both tires on the right side. I have maxxix razrs on my Warrior that are pretty much brand new.

Both tires have very slow leeks, takes about 2 weeks for them to go flat, rear takes a little longer. I dont see any nails or screws in either tire.

Slime works for me but, I use it to keep from getting slow leaks briars,etc.. Pump up the tires 15-20 lbs and get some rel soapy water. Check all over both sides and check the valve core and the tire to rim seal too..

 

I have been using slime since about 1997 and it works for me. I have just followed the directions on the bottle. A few years after I used it in the 4 wheelers/dirt bikes I began to use it in the small lawn equipment tires. I use to get rose bush and blackberry thorns which over night the tire would leak out. I don't have to worry about the flats anymore other than the green spots that you might see on the tires. If I do see a green spot I just make sure my air pressure is in spec.

 

I think i got some thrones in there, i was out riding in the woods and there were alot of vines hanging off trees that had thrones all over them.

I will have to pick some up, what is a good tire pressure to keep? around 6?

 

I have had many flats with my stock maxxis tires after I brought home my ATV brand new. I finally got fed up and purchsed some ITP 589's and never had a flat again. Also bought ITP wheels to go with it.

I also noticed that my maxxis tires where getting cracks in them and thorns were able to puncture the tires and flatten them.

With slime, alot of mechanics that changed your tires to fix flats do not like slime in the tire. It gets all over them when they pop the tire off. I never used the stuff personally, but some people swear by it from what I've read online.

 

there are alot of things i would like to spend money on, including new tires, wheels and exhaust. but that all costs a lot of money.

so for now i will have to settle for some slime untill i can save up some $$ or find some cheap used stuff.

 

I had 3 flats on the stock Dunlops that came on my Griz and since I used the slime I haven't had a flat since. Knock on wood. I have heard that repair shops don't like to deal with it but that's too bad. I don't particularly like paying for the flat repair and having flats to begin with.

 

Go to your local Fastenal and ask for "Flats No More" it works way better than slime and will not harm tires or environment. Fastenal is the only authourized disributor for.
Lots of fleet services use it on big rig tires.

 

i heard that that stuff stick to the rim on the inside and is a pai to get off.that true?

 

The next time your tires go flat, push the bead back from the rim. Make sure it's clean and you don't have some bark, dirt, rocks.....etc.... between the rim and tire. Then pump em' up to about 20 PSI, and put them in the tub..... If the problem is around the rim area, slime or fix a flat usually doesn't work.
