(Had to use my firends name)
Should I buy the pro-design coolhead for my banshee? Will I be able to tell a big difference? What domes should i buy to run with 93 octane gas. I have all the basic mods from pipes to reeds and it is bored .80 over. Tell me what you guys think and have experienced with the coolhead. Thanks.

I never used one but my friend has one on his banshee. He has 20cc domes, and so far it is running great. I also would safely recommend 20cc if you live in a lower elevation, and maybe 19cc the lowest. For higher elevations you may be able to go alittle lower, but I'm not sure. Do a search for old topics on this, there are tons.

ALSO instead of paying whatever it is $300? If you are just going for performance, not looks and alittle cooling, I would get you stock head milled. It will work the same as a cool head as far as performance. I think around .30 or .40 is safe to mill off, but ask other people because im not totally sure and I dont want to mess your ride up.

ask around and do a search alot will come up.

I definitely recommend the cool head. If you do any type of woods riding or any slow technical trail riding it's the way to go. Since putting mine on I have not had any overheating problems. I have even been riding with the wife following on her blaster on some 90 degree plus days and going slow on wooded trails and my banshee still ran nice and cool.

You will definitely notice an increase in performance. I'm running 22cc domes now, I personally wouldn't go below 21cc on pump gas(94 octane) based on an old article in Dirt Wheels, don't remember which month/year though. The increased compression added to the low end of the power band.

Also since installing it I have noticed longer spark plug life. Likely due to cooler temperatures.

In my opinion well worth the price.

According to the Feb issue of Dirt wheels in the article about the Trinity stage iv head, you can go as low as a 19cc dome and not require race fuel. However they don't say what elevation that is based on.
