Default Need Help, 2007 Raptor 700 Overheating

My Bros 2007 Raptor 700 keeps overheating. Take it out and ride it on a normal hot summer day. Ride it out on the dunes for about 15-25 minutes and the temp indicator light on the dash goes off. I have checked all the fuses(theyre good), coolant is good. My Bro says the fan is coming on, but as from what I have read its not really gonna come on unless you are pounding on it. It overheats while trail riding and while heavy duning. The only two things I can think of that could be causing the problem would be either the thermostat is bad for the water pump is not working. Please, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Cool

If there's a thermostat ,replace it ,a lot of overheating problems are caused by this thou you ride is of a recent model and thermostats last many years .In all my years as mechanic I've never seen a clogged radiator .Also check the motor oil level .

Check the radiator for bent fins or crushed cores, or end caps. also look for hoses that are kinked or pinched by bent parts. If thats all good, look for the thermostate and get a good thermal temp gun and look at the temp differnce at each end, about 1" from the thermostae and see if they mach or are differnt by about 20-30o. Also check the radiator cap, a loose or week one will not let the coolant keep the raised boiling point. The other points listed is good places to check also.

Awesome, thanks for the tips yall. I was also wondering how long should it take at idle for the temp to get up to operating temp and what is the normal operating temp for a 2007 Raptor?
