Arrow Banshee Racing Mods

I'm looking to mod my stock 05' banshee for racing. Not sure what kind specifically yet, but I know racing is limited in my area, and because of that I want to keep the mods general. I don't want to mod specifically for MX/GNCC...etc.

What I'm asking you:

Compile a list of mods for me that include vital upgrades such as:

1.) Exhaust/Air Filter/Jetting
2.) Suspension
3.) I have tires (20 inch rear holeshots and 21 inch front razors)
4.) Maybe a swingarm?

Note: I have a $2000 budget. I do not want to widen the machine, it feels stable to me and some places I ride already feel too tight for its width.

I'd really appreciate some links, and thanks ahead of time for anyone who helps me out. The cheaper the better, but I need some work if I want to have a chance to compete with the new 4 strokes...

A cool head with domes from 20cc to 17cc. really depends on if you want to stay with pump gas or race gas.. its always a good ideal to have a good port job done.. a good set of pipes are some T6s. but if your going to be drag racing you will want some inframe or out of frame drag pipes. Suspension thats up to you. all i know is drag so if your going to be jumping i really dunno...and if your not drag racing you dont need anymore than a plus 4 swingarm. all a banshee needs to run good is a set of pipes a cool head and a good port job. if you want some real power get you a set of cheeta cub cylenders. if your going to be stait drag you cant go wrong with a DM cylenders..you can put a set of cheeta cubs and a cool head and a good set of pipes and that will put you about 60hp. hope this helps.

thanks for the tips, I'm hoping for more track/jumping. Probably on an mx track for the most part.

no need for a swinger, but you WILL want more width for mx! definatley works shocks (single spring rate stockers are no good), toomey, dmc, or duncan pipe, uni filters, a good port job and maybe a cool head.

find a good set of pipes, jet up (220 each side) mild port job. I shaved .040 off my head and it ran alot more crisp (93 octane), and it only cost $40. Dont waist your money on swingarms unless your only doing drag racing, they mess up the geometry in the rear so that the chain gets super tight when compressed and really loose when decompressed. A good set of shocks in the front. If you want more width flip the front tires around, flip the valve stem inside out, and put another valve stem on the other side. You can flip the rears with no modificatons required. Boose bottles dont do much if your going to do port work, but if your not going to port it you might want to concider getting one.
