I striped my oil plug hole, not the bolt, What should i do? Will a heli-coil work or mabey tap it out? If i do one of these will i have to worry about metal fillings in the transmission? I have to get this fixed by tuesday because someone is coming to look at it and mabey buy it! WHAT TIMING!!!! I know their a tech tip on this site about this problem but my computer does not load it up. I would be forever greatful if someone could post that page in this thread or e- mail me it seanl@superior.net

yeah I don't know which one works the best but I know you can re-tread them. Don't worry about the metal fillings they should fall out not in.

If your quad is a lt250r i think you can tread the hole to 12mm and put in a honda 250r drain bolt... but maybe it is the other way around retread honda, put in suzuki bolt. not to sure

hey just found out from ct racing which way it was

If you have stripped a 12mm oil drain bolt (TRX250R) you can simply re-tap the hole to 14mm X 1.25 and replace the bolt with a Suzuki LT250R drain bolt.
