Hi guys. I finnally rode a Raptor. DAMNNNNNNNN thats all i have to say. Them things have alot of power. This one has a Pro-Circuit pipe (louder than monster trucks) and jetted and some of them Yamaha Accesories. I like it alot. I busted my nuts on it though. I dont like the seat. Shifting bugged me too. Too much of a Gap between 1 and 2. other than that.. WOW ... very strong. I wouldnt mind having one myself. Its stil no Honda though j/k Good job Yamaha

 

Id love to ride one, however dont know anybody that has one and pretty sure the local yammy dealer wont get one this century.. The gap between 1st and 2nd on my blaster is also too long, hits neutral at least once during full day of riding..

 

yesterday i got a chance to ride a raptor and a 400EX. i must say i was dissapointed to find that the the 400 had better speed and power. it would always beat the raptor in a drag race. Because of that i will now buy a Honda 400ex.

Actually, I don't think that you'll find many or any stock 400ex owners that will support your claim. The 400ex is a great bike, but more powerful or faster than the Raptor it is not.

 

I rode both before I bought the Raptor. The 400 was quick but there is no replacement for displacement.



Its all good until you need to hit reverse!
