Default Yamaha Bruin / Grizzly 350 4x4 Not working - Please help

Hello,

I have a 2006 Bruin 350 4x4. Yesterday I pulled the bike out to ride and the 4x4 is not engaging (light is not coming on either). I put it on jack stands and checked the fuse and wiring and it seems to be ok but did not get too deep in it. It does absolutely nothinig when I press the 4x4 button. The bike has maybe 50 hours on it and has never seen mud or water. Anything I can check before I send it to the dealer? I just feel like it something stupid I am missing and hate to give up the cash if I can fix it myself.

Thanks again!

Has to be the wire from the 4wd switch to the front diff or the wire that supplies power to the 4wd switch.

Check for any kinks or breaks in the wires all along those points also make sure all conections are pushed tight together ,. Maybe the switch itself is faulty you can take a peek if the contacts are rubbing where they should.

Have you checked to see if there was power where the wire attaches to the diff? If the power is getting there then we can assume the problem is in the diff. If no power then it could be the wires, switch or fuses etc.

Because your 4wd light also does not work ,it most likely just a electrical thing, not anything mechanical.
