65mph, thats what i was always told they ran stock, but a set of pipes and jets and that 65 would be history... i love how easy it is to wake a banshee up

pipes and jets = not going to make your top speed go up by anymore than 1-2 mph unless you build a motor that runs up to like 13k rpms.. then you might see 3 more mph

You won't be far off because of the acceleration on the Banshee, The Banshee tops out in stock form right around 68mph. The 450's hit right around 73-75mph.

For 500 bucks you can't complain!!! I kinda disagree with most about the stock form of the 'shee. In my experience the stock 450's will kill the 'shee in acceleration but, that should be a null point. You need PIPES!!! Find a set off craigslist or ebay then rejet. About a 30m to hour process. Your jaw will drop so low you'll trip on it after the first ride.

I've never raced a stock Banshee so I don't know. But most 2 strokes accelerate like a raped ape.

They do. Compared to old school 4-strokes but, the 450's are pretty sick. Like I said, with a set of pipes now, a raped ape it is!!

Another problem is that the powerband is so narrow that it's a trick to use it properly. Pipes will fix that also.

As Koopa stated, the 450's are extremely quick off the line, a stock banshee will not hang. Even with pipes you're barely gonna hang. 450's are track bikes, they have the acceleration for turns, etc.

I am 16 and i work for my dad full time for 10 bucks an hour. so i can afford to do some mods. Say pipes, sprockets, jetting, bigger carbs, air filters, and maybe even cylinder work. i get payed weekly at 300 bucks or more. i can save up for bigger mods.

Are there mods out there to make a banshee maybe a little faster then a 450? i heard a smaller back sprocket could get you 1-2 mph. It would be nice to have a faster quad then my budys anyways i am looking forward to putting dividends into it aswell. Now some of you say banshees aren't as aggressive at trails? i can get body mods aswell if i should.

Hit me back, thanks guys
