94 Kodiak inner cv boot replacement?????
#1
Hello all.
I have a 94 Kodiak.
Recently ripped my front inner Axle boot with a stick.
Thinking this will be an easy task.
to replace the boot. WELL Not SO.
Pulled the tire off but cant get the drum off.
SO plan "b" Removed steering linkage. Lower "A" arm and knuckle off the upper ball joint in hopes o slide The axle out of the diff with the brake drum still on. Well that's not the case. THE AXLE WON'T COME OUT. Seems like something is holding it in the diff.
Anyone have any advice or can lead me in the right direction on how to get this boot replaced on this older quad?
Thanks
Jay

Looking at an online parts diagram it seems to be kept in by a circlip, the same as my kodiak is. If it is the same as mine you have to jerk the axle out of the diff. I suggest looking at a Haynes manual. They aren't real expensive and are helpful for those of us that are new to this.
