Default '94 Timberwolf Issues (Help Please)

I have a 94 timberwolf 4x4 that was given to me, so i don't know much about it. The only way i can get it started is to hold the ignition down for like 20 minutes while it turns over and over until it finally catches. Once it catches though it runs great and doesn't even stall. Could this be a carburetor issue? I don't know what to do because I don't really know much about 4 wheeler repair and maintenance. Thanks a bunch for the help

I re-did the carb today and checked the spark. The sparks weak but there. I think it may be the coils but i haven't checked them out yet. gonna try to get on that tomarrow.

I was searching around the internet for other things that it could be, and my second guess would be that it could be electrical maybe? the stator is only half covered by the beginning of the rear fender and there are wires hanging and untaped. Could water have burned the stator out? Is there anyway i can test the stator to see if its junk or not?
