Cool wheelies on a warrior

i have a warrior with pretty good amount of mods.. and for some reason i cant do a wheelie..... the way i do it is.. i roll it off of first and into second and quickly pop the clutch and give it alot of gas.. the bike takes off fast and the tires keep spining but the front wont go up..... i dropped a tooth in the front sprocket and still cant do it.. i know warriors are top heavy but ive seen lots of stock warriors do wheelies and my modded out cant ... what can i do to get it up a procedure ...? thanks

Could be a lot of things.... Rear wheel/tire size, rider weight, Rider skill, ignition weak, crappy fuel,..... carb problems,.... intake issue.... too many to really work out a good answer for the above question.
What skill level are you riding at?
is this first quad?
how long have you had it?
What are the actual sproket teeth numbers?
What do you weigh?
What terrain are you riding on?
what kind of tires are you riding on?
Have you checked anything at all before posting the original post here?
other than the sprocket change)
What fuel are you using?
What other mods have been done to the ATV?

Shooting some of this info and more can be quite helpful. We'd love to help.

wheelies on my stock warrior wasnt a problem. i can pop one in second gear now that i did some mods to it.(fmf titanium 4 exhaust system, dynojet kit, uni airfilter, smaller sprocket up front, etc) is it dying when u gas it? maybe your clutch is slipping? need new clutch cable?

You said your tires are spinning? Sounds like a traction issue to me. My Warrior still has stock gearing being built like it is and it will pull a wheelie in any gear.

If it WILL wheelie..... then that's the ultimate answer.

I can do wheelies on my 89 blaster in 4 gears.... 5th and 6th I'm a puss and won't try it.... I'm afraid it will get away from me too quick at those speeds.... Damned 2 stroke ya know..... I've only been riding a short while ('bout 3 summers worth) and still don't have it down to an art. I don't get enough practice to ride a wheelie more than about 30 feet without feeling like I'm gonna fall over backward..... But I can wheelie.... I think the trick is to get over that "fallin' over backward feelin'". But the OP sounded like he thought it was a mechanical issue....

alot of people think that you can just stab the throttle and ride wheelies all day. i know this isn't true... well unless you're on the right machine, i did it all the time on my banshee before i parted it.. I have ridden wheelies on my warrior for 3+ miles before. It took me about 3 weeks to get over the"falling backwards" feeling. ANd i started to practice daily for about 4 months, atleast about 20 minutes a day. I was pretty damn good for a long time. I still do wheelies here and there but it takes me a couple tries to do what i use to be able to do at the snap of the finger

and i've always said this too, It should be mandatory to learn how to wheelie a quad. You learn so much about your quad and what it is capable of. Along with knowing how it is acting IE when it is going to roll over. It's also nice to know how to manuver your quad over stuff in a wheelie or just knowing how to quickly bring the tires up.

thanks for the help.. some of the mods include.. full yoshi exhaust... modified air box.. (k&n filter) . i believe its 12 tooth front sprocket.. fmf jet kit... i weigh around 180 lbs and i would consider myself a pretty aggresive rider... this is me second atv ... i believe that it might have to do with my tires ... the rear ones are pretty bald... could that be the problem? the warrior has plenty of power ive beaten 400ex and left a wolverine 450 in the dust...

Yeah bald tires will do it. Think about it. If your tires are spinning, you are not delivering the torque to the ground to pull the front end up.
