Default 96 Yamaha Badger Stator Output?

I work on small enigines for a living, and I have an ebay book on the Yamaha Badger (PDF thing) I can read a DMM (have a couple of them) and need a value for the stator output on this unit. I can tell it's not charging, but can't tell if it's the regulator/rectifier, or the stator coil that's bad.... I read a high resistance on the stator so I believe that's the problem. My book says it should read .8 to 1.0 ohms. I forget what it was actually... I'm used to checking stator output on the stuff I work on.

The Machine runs fine, it just doesn't charge. I ran it an entire year on a new battery, without any issues. I thought it was OK, but obviously it just takes next to nothing to start the machine,... and it runs off a low usage CDI..... and a spark generated from the flywheel/pulse generator.

Basically I understand there are 3 different electrical items beneath the flywheel, one for stator (coil) one for lights(coil) and one for ignition (pulse generator). The only light on this particular Badger is the neutral indicator light. It's mostly correct, but once in a while intermittent.

What would be ultimately great, is if the lighting coil and the charge coil were the same (but they have different part numbers, so I doubt it) and could be interchanged to get me up and running.

Anyway,.... I guess I'm looking for an output from the stator (in AC voltage numbers, to check and see if it's doing it's thing. I would think around 16-23 VAC..... in order to be rectified to 13.6 14.2 volts DC)

Any takers on this one?
