Default buying new quad need help

I'm looking to buy the 08 yfz450, does any one know if there has been any problems with the 08 yfzs? I had a 04 yfz450 i sold it because I did not have the money to stick into it because it had quite a few problems they were factory issues it was really clean, and had low hours, but it had flaws like the decompression plug (which i replaced before i sold, it was a problem with the 04's), the radiator fan didnt work (because the thermo switch was bad), and it needed the oil upgrade because yamaha had a poor innefective splash design that didnt lubricate the wrist pin and piston rod bearing properly. I liked the feeling of the yfz but I did not want the problems that came with it. I am looking to buy a new quad but i want to know if the 08 yfz has any problems.

As far as I know there aren't really any common problems with the YFZ after '06. I have the '04. I bought it in early spring of '07. I, too had to put in the decompression plug after the stock blew out. It sucks but, cheap easy fix as long as you notice it's gone. I also had to replace the waterpump impeller shaft last month. It was scarred and leaked water. Other than that I have had no issues and LOVE the thing. I would not hesitate, in the event of loosing it, to buy another YFZ.
