I would change the oil, make sure you are only using motorcycle oil though, something with wet clutch protection, oil up the chain, other than that you should be fine, maybe change the spark plug if it hasn't been done in a while.

A good warrior is hard to kill.. take care of it and it will take care of you. oil.. plugs.. chain.. a carb clean.. and it will love you long time. remember the siixth gear... have a buddy that has a 250ex and forgets the 6th... lol... they love to play hard.

I have 20002 warrior also make sure keep oil changed frequently warrior are bad about rod bearings other than that there tough and reliable thats why there practicaly unchanged since 1987 when they were introduced and like posted earlier make sure use motorcycle oil or you won't have a clutch long I use honda oil in mine i like it better than yamalube just my preference 2nd owner had since 2001 no bearing problems yet mainly stator and starter clutch

Warrior clutches are just that way. They are all hard to pull in compared to other clutches.

i have 2 warriors and they are great 4wheelers. on one of them i have an fmf exhaust, reduced in size front sprocket, uni air filter, dynojet jet kit, and a powerbomb header. it is super fast. it will go 75mph. they are great trail riding atvs. as far as wat you should do, i would definitely change the oil and spark plug and clean the oil filter and air filter.
