Hey guys - was looking at buying an '03 raptor special edition. My buddy has one so I though it would be cool to have the same bike. However, the seller's bike is slightly different than my buddies. The seller's bike has a black front grill and red flames on the gas tank. My buddies has the red front grill and has the red and gray 'stripes' down the gas tank.

Were there two versions of the black/red special edition '03 660 raptors?

 

never seen a black with red, have always seen black with Blue flames

I poked around on one of the raptor forums and found some info someone there posted. They said the '03 colors were blue/white and black/red like my buddies. The 'limited' edition was the black with a black 'carbon fiber' hood and the red flames.

But like Texasroadlawyer pointed out...there are some black ones with blue flames. Maybe there were two versions of the limited edition for that year?
