what kind of oil??

Default what kind of oil??

i just got a 04 yfz 450 and have been riding it and when i was cleaning it i checked the oil and i was low. just curiouse on what kind of oil to use. the quad has many upgrades would that determin what type of oil i use.

I would only put what is in ther back in. If a dealer did the last oil change they probobly used Yamalube. I would just do a new oil change using Redline or AMS oil and call it a day.

Those 450s use the same performance motors as the 450 motocross bike. No one in motor cross racing uses non "full" synthetic or motor oil like Yamalube.

Full synthetic oils cost more but it will postpone the next rebuild by a couple of hundred hours. Just make sure its a motorcycle grade sythetic oil made for wet clutches like Amsoil or something.

sooo any full synthetic oil would work? cause i want to ride this week but dont really have the money to go out and buy some oil.

Only motorcycle grade made for wet clutches and synthetic can be mixed with conventional oil if need be.

ok so im going up to dicount auto. so i should ask for motorcycle grade made for wet cluch synthetic oil

Yamalube does make a full synthetic oil too!

well i just got mobil1 racing 4t 10w-40 fully synthetic will that work
?
