Default After a new top end

Do you have to break in the quad after your top end is freshly rebuilt?

Yes, you need to beat on it just a bit to seat those brand new rings. I love the moto man technique, has worked great on my race engines.

Yes, reasonably. Read up on motoman's technique, best way to go in my opinion.

I think this is one of the most argued about discussions when it comes to new or rebuilt engines. The main thing is to not hold the throttle in one position for long periods of time for the 1st couple of hours, other than that, beat the heck out of it.
