Backfiring through the intake on a 97 warrior.
Hey gang, been away for awhile so I'll start over with the atv issue I have. My '97 warrior has had stater and cdi issues off and on. As I have been rebuilding it I have done no engine work on the motor. I have had carb issues and had it rebuilt buy a shop. For awhile it ran good as it could. Then the stater whent out and I had to send it in to be warrented out. Now it has began to backfire through the carb agin. Am I looking at carb, timming, or a cdi issue?

Ok, I rebuilt/cleaned the carb and replaced all the lines and added a fuel filter to it. I used a torch cleaner in all the ports and jets. Used carb cleaner and high pressure air to blow out the ports. I, raised the needle clip one to lean the main out some since it's smokes black out of the exhust under a load. I reinstalled it and it'll idle alot better and run without it poping as bad, It pops about once every two minutes or so. I still need to adjust the valves and I plan on changing the pilot jet to one size leaner. My plugs are getting wet and black so I know it's running rich as heck.
