Guys in your opinion where I ride it is like one kind of big lane then I run mostly in small fields with some jumps and whoops. And occasionally I like the run through the woods. I am use to riding my Warrior and I just want something different. So in you guys opinions would the Raptor, Banshee or 400EX do better for me?

I HAVE A RAPTOR AND HAVE TESTED A 400EX AND BANSHEE.HONESTLY I SAY THE RAPTOR IS THE BEST FOR EVERTHING. IT HAS SPEED,GOOD HANDLING,AND IT LOOKS TIGHT.THE 400EX IS NICE ALSO..THE BANSHEE ..IS JUST REALLY GOOD AT DRAG RACING..THE HANDLING IS NOT THAT GREAT...WHAT EVER U GET I THINK U WILL LIKE BUT THE RAPTOR IS THE BETTER ONE
LATAZ..RIDE SAFE

I have a Banshee and a Raptor, I sold my 99 400ex about a year ago.If you are going to decede between some quads, decide between the Raptor and the Banshee. dont even consider the 400. The Raptor is a 400 with a lot more power and reverse, yeah so maybe it does not handle quite as good as the 400, but there aint that big of difference. i would gladly take 260 extra CCs and reverse over a marginal difference in handeling, besides, if you get serious about any quad you are gonna buy aftermarket shocks, axle, a-arms and so forth. For your riding i would suggest the Raptor all the way. Banshee is the ultimate for duneing or drag racing, and the aftermarket support cant be beat.

I dont get how people say Banshee's have bad handling? I ride in every type of terrain and it rides just fine, tight woods to hill shoots and drags in the fields and some tight slow trail rides and I have never had any problems with handling or low end power with my current setup.

I would consider for you the banshee or raptor.

I would have to say, ummmmm get the BANSHEE!
why u ask? well, let's see.....
It will eat up a 400ex and the raptor has a few bugs that need to be worked out.
I am not trying to start a flame with any raptor owners, so DON'T even go there!!!

Peace I'm out......

JIGA...I agree, the Banshee handles as good as any other ATV. At the professional level, the perception is that the geometry and weight bias hurts the Banshee. What happens then? Everyone thinks the Banshee is a pig when the handlebars are turned. People on the "OUTSIDE" looking in assume this. The people that actually ride them are just left scratching their heads.
After riding all 3 (Banshee-Raptor-400ex), the Banshee feels much different than the Raptor and overrated 400ex when cornering (the stock Raptor and 400ex don't wanna slide good and BOTH will 2-wheel sometimes when pushed hard thru turns). Hit a corner on a Raptor or 400ex, and unless the terrain is perfect, you can't keep the throttle pinned through the turn. What happens next? You have just lost half of the next straightaway to the guy on the Banshee. Something to think about.....

I see your point gary and well put.

It just gets me sometimes when others (former banshee owners or non-banshee owners) say that the banshee handles like poop. It mainly deals with body english and throttle controll.
With jumps, yes I would have to say that that is the banshees weak spot due to its weight positioning compared to the Raptor and 400ex which is where throttle controll comes in, once you have it down its no problem.

I have never riden a Raptor and only a 400ex once but not to seriously so I cant really give my views on either one of those quads. All quads have their ups and downs about them. Ride all 3 if you can and decide from there. Me, im still a stuck 2 stroke fan!!

JIGA, Just imagine what these guys would say about my Scrambler's ride. If they think the Banshee handles like poop... I wouldn't even want to see those posts!

One of the major differences between the banshee and the warrior are the power delivery. You cannot "lug" a banshee like you can the warrior. so slow climbs up hills or just above idle cruizing are out of the question. the banshees power begins about a third of the way up the warriors power band. in other words when you are giving the warrior gas and you think you have about 2/3 more power left, the banshee is just starting to move. the power delivery of the warrior is even and predictable were as the banshee tends to be somewhat weak at first and then full blast. as a warrior rider you know when the warrior hits its peak power. the banshee hits it harder and quicker and about twice as much. if you are looking for "wet your pants speed" like flipping a switch, then find a banshee. if you want more of the kind of power you are used to then i would imagine either of the other machines may suit you.
