2003 Blaster not idling after changer bars
#1
I have a 2003 yamaha blaster and i changed the hande bars and the new ones are shorter and now it won't idle but when I take the throttle trigger off the bars. Can any one tell me the problem?

You should also be able to adjust the cable tension a little to make the engine idle. check your manual (or go online and look at the one on the Yamaha site) on proper adjustment of the throttle cable. They offer a free owners manual download.

you most likely routed you cable wrong now or it might have been routed wrong before, you might have to turn the idle screw up, the old bars might have created a bend in the cable to where it was like 5% opened throttle, and now the new ones might not be holding it up at all and it could be 0% throttle, hard to explain for some reason lol.
