Default Should I do this Trade?

I have a 2006 Sporsman 500 HO. It is in good condition, but not perfect. Has 1350 miles. I am possibly going to trade for an 05 YFZ450. It is stock except for a set of AC nerf bars.

Your ATV is worth about $400 more than the YFZ assuming all things equal. If the YFZ is in a little better shape plus the cost of the nerf bars....Id say equal trade is good deal.

Yeah, his looks to be in good shape. Having new Holeshot tires in the rear is big for me. I don't want to have to buy tires. His plastic looks great as well. I am excited to get back on a manual atv. I have never had a 450, but they have always sounded like a lot of fun.

This all depends are you willing to give up 4x4 capability for a sport machine that wont have all the capabilities that the Sportsman offers?

Looks like I am going to go through with the trade. While the 4x4 is nice, I am just not having fun with it. In fact, I am over the "all day" type rides. I want to go back to taking a quad to one of the local parks and messing around all day. The utility crowd was just too focused on long rides and scenery, where I want to actually have an exciting time. I'm sure I will be back on a utility at some point.

Well, I'm 31 so I am still young. I better go get the Sportsman loaded up and get ready to head out. This thing better not be a junker.
