air filter
#1
I recently installed a jet kit and was thinking of upgrading my air filter. How much better would an after-market air filter be than the stock one? Which one is better, the pro-flow intake system or the k&n filter?

Well, I dont use K&N or or pro-flow, cannot dish out that kind of money for a simple air-filter, Id just as soon throw it away and buy a new one when it gets dirty. And Im kind of weary of those types of filters (what if they fall off?). I just bought a UNI filter and was quite impressed with the quality, much much better than the stock air filter, for $10 less than stock you cannot go wrong, I thought it would be cheaply made and not that good but I was very wrong. Im going to stick with the UNI filters and would recommend them to anybody.

K&N all the way. Its one of the cheapest things that you can get that will provide a noticeable power increase. It has cotton fiber which has less restriction than foam and it traps more dirt. More air flow equals more power. I think its about $35-$40 and i promise you will notice a difference. Although i would avoid the jet kit. I couldn't even tell the slightest difference after I installed it in my brothers wolverine.
