Turning radius of the shee!
#1
Im not complaining about the turning radius of the Banshee. But, I have found myself in some tight situations where i couldnt make the turn by sliding the *** end out because of very steep drop offs. So i was wondering if i put some 18-7-10 on the front of the shee would that give me a tighter radius. Thanks for the help...

If your on that tight of a trail the only thing you can is get of snd turn it manualy. I have never had a problem being able to turn my shee around what I usally do is lean as far as I can to the front end and put it in 1st a pin it, and my shee slides right around

I dunno about the tires, But a-arms and axles can be used to modify the whole geometry of the bike, Allowing you to make it more agile. I would like to know how tight of a trail you are trying to ride on, As I have never met a trail that my shee couldnt "squirrel" its way down..

The downside to the shorter swingarms is that you loose wheel travel and they change the feel of the suspension. As with A-Arms you almost have to buy the shocks too. But as I said It is an effective way to modify your handleing.

I have never really measured the turning radius. But I have done the mods mentioned above. New arms/shocks and a minus 1 swing. I did not notice the suspension in the rear having a problem. And, yes, the quad is more agile and easier to control in alot of situations.
Jumping is now rock solid with no heavy front end...wheelies are much better than stock.
All and all....I really like this bike...and see no problems at all in the trails or MX. Just keep me away from any mud bogs...Not fun at all.

You can shave some of the steering stop off with a grinder. This will allow you to "cut" the wheels tighter.

My A-arms are 2 inches wider and 1 inch forward.
To be honest...I don't know where most people ride, But I have never had a problem with tight trails. I seem to weave my way through the woods just fine.
These mods filled the void that I had for some time...Handling. It really does feel like a new quad to me.... I can hammer a jump with confidence now... I used to be scared to death of the nose heavy front end... I know I have not changed the weight all that much...But it sure feels lighter.
Someone mentioned filing the steering stops. Be very careful with that. You could be putting more stress on the front end ***** than would be desirable.
