400 ex's frames bent at factory

if you read my post correctly you would have noticed that we were the first people to bring this to our dealer's attention. Also I have been rebuilding quad's and car's for several years so I know what I am talking about. It's people like you and Derek Honda who get way bent out of shape when somone tries to post what could be a serious problem. I do own a Raptor and I have owned and restored a number of Honda's best three and four wheeler's, and when you people were all bent to hell when the Raptor came out saying it's junk, I could of cared less I have jumped mine 15 to 20 feet and no problem's with my axle. Also I like to read these to see what problems people have with there bike's so I can see if mine will have the same. And to see if there is a cure for the problem. Also our dealer has stated Honda is looking into this matter.

Well, good for you, you must really be some kind of awesome mechanic. Maybe Honda should give you a job troubleshooting for them because you are so astute and knowledgeable. You would, however need an assistant who can spell. Really, I find it hard to believe that someone who is obviously much more experienced and intelligent than the rest of us ignorant slobs doesn't know the difference between camber and toe.
By the way, I never felt the Raptor was/is a piece, just that it would/does have the same typical Yamaha design styles that I (the ignorant) find a pain in the but to service. From what I understand, jetting is tricky at best on the Raptor.
I guess I am just lucky you don't come down to Tucson and really kick my behind. So sorry for offending you with common sence.
By the way, when you say Honda is looking into this problem, what specifically are they doing? I'll tell you, nothing, because nothing is wrong with them. Why wasn't this mentioned in the shootout? Oh, I know, because Honda submitted a handbuilt unit, right? Give it a rest, idiot king. See, I can call you names, too.

You need to go back and learn how to read. Because if you did then you would realize that I stated some are fine there seem's to be a problem with the new one's. You do know that robot's and computer's make mistake's. I just wanted some help on this topic and you are the only one who got way bent out of shape. I have since told me friend who own's this particular 400 and he can't seem to understand why he has the only one. And if you looked and read so carefully at some of my other post's in the Honda forum you would notice that there are several other 400's that have this problem. You really need to get over the fact that the glorious 400ex has a probelm. I was almost going to buy one but no reverse and to me well it just make's trail riding easier. So you tell me why then are there certain 400 ex's coming right off the showroom with one wheel tilted in?????? You seem to be the expert. As far as Yamaha having hard quads to work on I don't think so, You just need to work at it. Kinda like jetting the Raptor it's a whole new game with the five valve head and twin carb's. So yeah it might take a while, but even a ignorant *** like you could figure it out. I'm done on this subject you are not worth anymore of my time.

It doesnt bother me that you found a flaw at all, not one bit I promise, what bothers me is why did you post it in the yamaha forum? Its for yamaha things. It seems more or less "check it out guys, honda sucks go make fun of them" thats the only reason i started posting. If someone cared enough to check into it they could have very easily gone to the honda forum.

Well, I really don't feel bent out of shape at all, like the Honda frames. Why don't you tell us how far the frame is bent? I mean really, do you want to hang on to this so your Raptor looks better to you? You are the one who is all upset because I (and others) don't agree with you. I tried to go and re-read your posts. They didn't get any clearer. Still had the bad grammar, incorrect punctuation, mis-spelled words, and contradicting statements that were in it the first time around. If you would like, I can recommend some very good high schools in your area. I grew up near Erie, PA. You must have dropped out or something because you are the one who sounds ignorant.
By the way, I don't own a 400EX, just a Banshee and an 88250R. I work on both quite a bit and no matter how hard I work at it, the chain adjustment proceedure on the Banshee still sucks in comparison the the Honda.
I know I really shouldn't bother with this garbage, but I can't ride (busted up ribs) and this has proved somewhat entertaining today. I will go to my job tomorrow, but this guy will still be a loser, I feel kind of sorry for him. Later.

Who's the loser, go ahead and read any give post on any given day and I'll bet you (THE GRAMMAR WHIZ) can find lot's of mistake's, we are here to discuss quad's and the such, not who is using the proper grammar. So I don't use the correct grammer. But just for your information I had a 3.75 gpa though my typing skill's leave much to be desired. The reason I posted in the Yamaha forum is I thought maybe one of the guy's who had a 400ex had a similar problem. And I thought that maybe someone had an anwser for this. I guess that slipped that huge brain of your's though. As far as chain adjustment yes Honda has alway's been easier. But other than that they are about the same for maintaining. I'll tell you what I should put the post under 400ex's frame's welded wrong because that is what is wrong. And anytime you wanna ride again in the real world you come on back to PA and we'll see what's up. Desert riding is all good but where's the challenge? And grow up with the name calling would you please it show's your immaturity.

You got it right, desert racing is actually no challange at all. There is a massive government conspiracy to make desert racing seem challanging, but in reality all of us out here in the desert really just fake all those crazy stories about events like the Baja.
In reality, I have ridden all over the US and find good riding wherever I am at. By the way, I am having the frame on my 88 250R Factory bent, just like the 01 400EX. Could you please tell me the correct placement and depth of the bend?
Funny you should mention me coming back to PA. I will be at FT. Knox, Kentucky (the home of Armor, baby) from May until August. I plan on visiting my parents in Erie PA a few times. I would be more that willing to meet you and show you what is really up. Bring along a good friend.

Once again you have failed to read correctly. I never once said a thing about desert racing I was talking about riding in the dune's. I went back to proof read some of your replies and you know what you to spell wrong. But that doesn't matter well you better let those rib's get better so you can ride again. And if you are so confident why do you call the dealership and ask them yourself. They have a 1-800 number. Ask for Joe in service, Mongomeryville Cycle Center in PA see what he tell's you. I have wasted way too much time on this. I was just looking for some help for my friend. Not a refresher course in grammar. Peace and good luck riding. Also if you want to se the bike I can email you some pic's of it.

You are a fun guy to harass. Way too easy to get a rise out of. Good luck to you as well. My ribs will be fine by Easter for those boring non-challanging sand dunes. Anybody who wants to link up and go let me know, we are doing a no-frills weekend. Sleeping in the truck bed, eating right out of the cooler. All are welcome, even hard-core woods racers and bent framed 400ex's.
