i have a full big gun exhaust and modded the air box by removing the snorkel and cutting out the ducs in the lid, then drileed nine 7/8 holes in the lid,i currently have a 47.5 and 52.5 main jet with the needle raise up one clip,at 3500ft.what i cant get over is how much diff it makes by removing the lid all together,my quad gos so lean you cant ride it,but with the lid on even with all the holes its just about perfect,i still have to play with needle a bit.has anyone else noticed the huge diff? and as big of a pain in the a$$ it is to get to the carbs and jet these things i think we should all post our altitude and intake/exhaust combos to help each other out.also i ground about 1/4 inch off the plastc pins on the front of the air box to aid in the removel/instalation process.this makes it alot easier to get the box out to remove the carbs.

I never remove my airbox to get to the carbs, but I like your idea about shortening the oins on the airbox.

I just remove my gas tank and loosen the 4 clamp on the front and rear of the carbs and there off.

I put my jetting and altitude in my signature. The bike runs good, maybe a little on the rich side. The exhaust discs look pretty sooty. I'll just keep at it.

I just broke those pegs off . So much easier to remove the airbox and it will not move.
