Default Why you chose a Yamaha?

New here but curious as to why everyone chose a Yamaha over the competition. I will start by saying of all the atv's I test rode nothing came close to the 450 grizz in it's class for it's 4x4 system and suspension. I am only 5' 9" and I rode 660's and 700's but they seemed too big to me and where I live the woods are pretty tight and all the extra hp is kind of wasted on the trails. Don't get me wrong I would love to have a 700 but all the 660 and 700 I ride with here cant outrun me in these woods. Test drove the Gade and thought the 500 wasn't bad but after seeing a buddy who has one have a harder time navigating some stuff I do I am glad I stuck with the grizz. I just posted a video playlist from some recent rides in P.A. in the Atv Video forum and other then 1 honda everyone is riding yamahas. Here is a link to that post.

Well, at the time Yamaha has a great product. They never abandoned the sport crowd when everyone else gave it up. I look good in blue.

Because IMHO nobody makes a better more fun to ride reliable ATV. I chose the 700 as you need every CC you can get when you ride at 12000 feet elevation! Its not always about the quad and more about the rider when it comes to CC's and power!

Default Because....

Because it was the best sport for the price.... and now I'm more than glad I got the Blaster,.... 2 strokes are a whole new kind of power for me. I don't race, but I ride the trails aggressively and need something that will produce "launch" power with a 200 lb 46 year old kid on it.... This one does the job. No one else offers a 4 wheeler with this kind of power and fun, for anywhere near the price. nad now, Yamaha doesn't either,... so used ones are my pleasure from now on.

Default Yamaha

Bought a used wolverine about five years ago...when I went to buy there was a wolverine and a polaris xplorer sitting in the garage--same year, both four wheel drive, same price...i went with the yamaha b/c of what I had read online...I have not regretted that decision once! I bought new just over two years ago b/c of the service that I received at my local dealership and the quality of the first quad it was a no brainer to go with Yamaha again. My dad bought a polaris 400 about two years ago and has since sold it and bought a new grizz 700 from the same dealership...100 miles from home.

When I buy again...it will be Yamaha again!
If you are reading this in Ohio...I strongly recommend Clinton County Motorsports!

I think you just answered your own question! I have owned alot of Yamaha's and a few Honda's. Honda makes reliable products, but I have always liked the Yamaha machines for their performance, looks, and availability. I went against my Yamaha loyalty last week and bought a new Polaris RZR-S, wanted a Rhino, but the Rhino just doesn't have the speed and suspension that I wanted.

You know it's funny but if I was to buy a SxS right now it would be a Rzr also. But I would never buy a popo atv.
