hi, i might buy a yamaha wolverine 450.i just want to know alittle more about it like how fast is it does it have power and is it a good second quad, can it pop wheelies?any input would be helpfull-thanks-brandon

 

One of the guys I ride with has a 07 wolverine 450. He changed out cluch wieghts and added an hmf pipe and beats even our other buddy with a renegade 500 (stock) for about the first 1/4 mile but the gade will catch and beat him after that. It's a nice little half breed, but it's not a powerful quad. Stock wolvy 450 will be faster then a grizz 450 due to being a little lighter and should hit 55mph as long as you don't weigh in 300#s but to get real grunt in the bottom end you will need clutch work.

 

well i only weigh 160lbs.im trying to decide if i should buy this or a suzuki king quad 400as or weight a few more months for a grizz 550 eps fi.

 

I got the 450 cause the 660 and 700 felt too big for me. Not power wise but actual size of the quad. I'm only 5' 10" and wiegh on a good day 180 #s. The 550 is a 700 with a smaller engine so it is a full size quad. The wolverine 450 is smaller then the 550 and has the same engine as my grizz 450 but wieghs less. I was going to buy a wolvy 450 but wanted or should I say needed the utility side of the grizz 450 more. I never liked suzucki's and the only other quad I have ridden and liked was a renegade 500 but I only liked it because of the engine. I would love to throw that rotax in my 450.

 

i watched ur vids and it seemed u did just fine keeping up with the big bore quads.so do u think i should get the wolvy 450.i plan on ridding at rock run and tri county atv.
