Big Bear 350

Default Big Bear 350

Sup just bought a 350 big bear 4x4 and tryin to find out what year it is the VIN number has rusted off and was wondering how else can i find the year

Can,t help with the year but can tell you what generation it is. The first 350 Big Bear was in 1989 and stayed much the same until 1997. I had the 89 first generation,you can spot them by it having the shifter up by the left side of the front rack and it had a low range sub tranny.
After 97 the shifter is lower by the motor and it has no low range ,just a super low first gear.

Here is my 89 Big Bear,notice the shifter up by the front rack.

Yup mine has the same setup as yurs. Same style too maybe mines around yur year. Color is a Grayish/White. i found 2 sets of 5 digit numbers/letters on the engine block they are

1UY02

1YW00

The frame numbers are stamped below the foot peg, frame member. Crazy place it hits everthing on the trail.

The vin# is complete rusted off took a wire brush too it and theres nothing left but bits of numbers

Actually, the generation starts at 87
