Default help

I have a 2003 Yamaha warrior and the engine is shot. It clunks, smokes, and has a hole in it. I got a price of $1300 to fix it. What should I do? I'm certainly not going to spend that kind of money. Its hard to find a deal on other 350 engines. I don't want to fabricate the quad to fit a different one unless its minimal work. any help is appreciated.
