I have an 87 moto 4 225 I have only electric start and would like to add pull start to it, incase i get stuck out somewhere with a dead battery.... i see it says to take cover off and wrap rope around thing to pull start but can i just install a whole pull start assembly so its there when i need it and dont need any tools??

 

hello;when you take that cover off on the shifter side their is a round cup with notches cut in it unless yours has that you will need that for your pull starter to mesh with otherwise the pull starter should bolt right on. hope that helps you . budd68.
