Question Some questions on the Kodiak 450

Hey guys i have a couple questions about my Kodiak 450.Brought it to the dealer a couple months ago for valve adjustment and check up, said my float level was to rich and they set it and pilot screw and it runs great but i have a couple questions.I'm at about 800ft above sea level. It has about 1,350 miles on it.

The engine is stock and i have a 2" power tip. The dealer set my idle high 1400-1500rpm like it says on the air box and it looks like the a/f screw is set around 3 turns out. Does that sounds right?

It also seems I have a very slight bog off of idle, hardly noticeable but would messing with the pilot screw fix that?

It seems like it is also cold blooded, if left sitting for says 2days to a week it will fire up perfect on full choke at around 30 degrees out and seems a little hard to warm up but if i let it warm up on full choke and take choke off and rev the bike a couple times it will idle fine.(they checked my valves last time and said they were right in spec) Does that sound right?

Also when revving my bike it seems kind of fuel rich. Are these bikes rich from the factory. I know it has a Shindy carb kit in it with a 132 Main (stock 131.3) Would throwing a Uni air filter on it help it some?

Also at idle with my setup how it is when fully warmed up the spark plug tip is a gray color the porcelain is brownish and the base ring is black with a small amount of soot, does that sound right?

Well let me know guys, Thank you!

I am at the same elevation as you. My 450 was rich from the factory. Added a 2r tip and twinair filter and she was still a little rich but better. Your asking about the plug but is it a new plug or the original one? If not new I would throw a new plug in and check. I now have an ehs racing lid on my airbox, hmf exhaust, amr stage 3 cdi and the needle from a dj kit with clip on 4th position along with a 140 mikuni main jet. I have my a/f screw set at 3 turns but when I head to WV (2500 ft) it seems to run better at 2.5 turns. In the winter I have always had to adjust my idle screw for better startup due to cold temps here. This at least reminds me since it's getting warmer I have to change it back

hey butch thanks for responding everything u said makes me feel better. Ya I had the dealer put in a new plug for me that was about 15 miles ago. So how does that plug sound by what i described ( plug reading taken from idle). Also is yours a little cold blooded at start up? and does about 3 turns out sound right for the A/F screw at my elevation? let me know...
