ok so my friend has 2003 yamaha kodiak 400cc 4x4 and his belt broke. I was wondering if a belt from a 2000 polaris magnum 325 2x4 will fit on his.

 

hold them next to each other and see if there the same length and the same with i forgot if its the middle number that will be the same on them

 

I would but his is completely shredded so there is no one to compare them.

 

you best bet would be put it up there and see and if its on there make sure there very little slack

 

Well i am hoping that my belt will work because we are about 40 miles from any town and we need a quick fix. Would it be bad if there was some slack in the belt.

 

it will just slip and burn that belt up faster but if your only 40 miles then you should be fine just hope there not to much or else it wont grab best thing to do is just try it and see worse thing it wont work

 

OK well tomorrow him and i will try to put it on with the tools we have. We have been out here for the last 3 days we where suppose to leave today but we cant. IS there anything else we could use for a replacement for a belt like maybe a car belt there are lots of old cars not far from us.
