Default No Baffle And No Air Box Lid?

Hello, i was just wondering what i would have to do to my ""2007 YFZ 450"" to run my bike "without" the baffle(stock exhaust) and without the air box lid(stock foam filter), because i noticed that my bike runs very hot for an example: i let my bike warm up for 5minutes went for a rip for about 5 minutes and my fan kicked on, so i just wanted to know what adjustments i'd have to do to make my yfz 450 run cooler but i do live in canada and its not the hottest place ever so please help me, Thanks!

If it's EFI, I would get a fuel controller box and richen up the mixture.
If it's a carb, I would jet it up.

well you don't really have to do anything for the baffle i asked a mechanic for my bike and they don't recommend you take it out because they say it can make you loose compression on ur motor. for the hot part im not shure i would suggest making sure your rad is clean and your fluids are full and mixed right. i wouldnt worry to much about the fan turning on motor gets hot on a 450 just how they are. watch your temp light, and check your fuses and wires the air box just have a screen so nothing is pouring into the box and youll have to clean it more often that's about it hopefully that's answers your question

also 1200 feet isnt enough to have to change anything if its EFI it's self adjusting so any where after 5000 feet you have to adjust on the carb im in Canada and ride at 6000 feet lots so

Do you think K&N's Air Filters and The Screen Air box lid would increase the amount of air it gets in compared to the stock lid and foam filter? and what settings should i have my jets at if i just do the K&N screen and filter and what about if i had the the K&N screen and filter + the Baffle removed cause i know some people do remove it and they haven't mentioned anything about losing compression in your motor because isn't an aftermarket pipe like the same deal as the stock pipe with the baffle removed?

i would upgrade to k&n give you more air and power also i woukld get the jet kit help it run a bit better there cheap easy to install the aftermarket pipe is designed to give more pressure in the pipe to give more power so no its not the same the stock pipe has a baffle to help with pressure in the pipe also to keep it quiet the aftermarket pipe has a spark arrestor my trx450 shoots flames pro circuit Ti-4 i dont worry about the baffle it was off on my stock pipe sounds better also my fan turns on quick to wount worry unless ur temp lights comin on

I agree with ct22 just might want to pick up an outer wear for the filter and make sure its oiled and clean not quite sure you want it shooting flames though. but you will wan't to play with your carb to get it dialed in right some times it takes 3-5 tries but you will know when your there. my engine fan hardly ever kicks on well once it the last 3 months I've owned it valve adjustment has alot to do with that also if there tight she'll burn hot

sound liek your running lean. a lean engine will run hot. thats just how it is. also make sure you can see through your radiator or oil cooler, whichever you have. if theres any mud or dirt wash it out lighltly with a water hose so you dont bend the fins. if you have bent fins straighten them as that has an impact on how hot you engine runs as well.

do you guys know if i bring a dyno jet kit into a yamaha dealer if they'll install it?, because i got no mechanical experience to be messing with my carb, plus does anyone have any suggestions on carb setting just for an aftermarket pipe? (airbox lid on with regular foam filter) i was thinking on the yoshimura rs-2 pipe. any suggestions???
