Default Well, crap....

My yfz started popping on decel a few weeks back. Pulled the pilot and cleaned it real well but, no change. I held my thumb slightly on the gas at all times. It prevented the popping. Well, It gradually started getting worse. Yesterday it would pop every time I shifted. Then, last night i found the issue. Header pipe is split almost all the way around right as it comes out of the head. I believe it's time for a new pipe. I'm thinking Dasa or the JSR previously known as nmotion. Heard good things.

My buddy has a DASA on his YFZ, awesome looking pipe and performs really well.

Ya, I have a buddy that just purchased a DASA for his TRX450. Sounds amazing. Outstanding performance.

I'm nervous because, I had an aftermarket pipe. If I get something that performs worst I'll be very upset. Guy at kbperformance is recommending a Barker. I haven't heard and can't find much about them on the YFZ's.

Kenneth knows his stuff. I wouldn't doubt him if he recommended something. I have never seen or heard of anyone running a barker on a YFZ, I do know they made a single for the raptor and I have a set of the duals for my raptor and have been very pleased with them. This really doesn't help you much on the YFZ but the barker duals are one of the best performing duals on the market and Tim Barker is one of the best for customer service I have seen. With barkers reputation on the raptor side I would guess the pipe for the YFZ would be awesome as well.

Ya, kenneth is a real nice guy. Barker has a good rep it seems for the 700 as well as the yfz450R. It's getting rave reviews there.

Issues with shipping occurred so we talked back and forth quite a few times through out the day. He was about the only experienced person I found. He actually had an '04 and told me he used it to test the sparks, dasa,ct,barker. Gave me pros cons of all. I took his advice and went with the barker. It was also, on sell which helped me out. $460 full exhaust. Best price by far that I found.

Once I get some seat time I'll wright a review of my experience so future YFZ pipe purchaser's will have something to see. And comeing from the Graydon Proline/CT I'll be a bit upset if theres much of a performance drop. That Graydon was very impressive.
