Fuel Shooting out of carb

Fuel Shooting out of carb
2002 Griz 660 while cranking shoots fuel out of carb intake throat in a stroking fashion. It starts but floods out of course. Saturates the air filter and runs down. Any input as to what's wrong with this machine?
