To me the Cannondale fx400 seems like the perfect quad if they turn out to be reliable and built good because they have better handling than the 400ex and more power than the raptor. Plus you don't have to worry about carburation because of the fuel injector. I may be wrong but tell me what you guys think.

There are plenty of worries involved with fuel injection. Instead of rejetting there is remapping. Also, regardless of what the magazines say, the fuel injection on all the new bikes I've rode (Honda CBR929, Suzuki GSXR750) is far from perfect. Fuel injected bikes all seem to have surging problems and abrupt throttle response at times that you don't want it. Can fuel injection be perfected? Probably, but I wouldn't count on a bicycle manufacturing company to be the one who does it.

The FI street bikes have some soft spots too. But all in all they run better.

Cannondale doesn't do the EFI mapping themselves (can't remember who though).
It's not perfect. That's true. Even Fiat (Magneti Marelli) efi has "bugs". When in Italy, we had a efi 1.4 Fiat Tipo. We could bog the efi everyday!! It kind of became a game. You had to let off the throttle (just like when you want to stop) and 1/2 second after, you jump back on the gas...guess what? nothing happens before 2 seconds.
Honestly, I guess this is gonna be part of learning your bike. Just like I know my shee won't accelerate if I'm too low, you know your injection does this or that.
If I had 14cdn, I would definitely get it.

I agree that the fuel injection will take getting used to, hopefully that will be the only problem with it. Exactly how many horses is this thing supposed to pump out? What kind of price does this technology go for?

I was under the impression that fuel injected quads have not been attempted so far because it is hard to get the on-board computer to hold up to the abuse of jumping and rough terrain. Anyone else heard this?

I think the wheel travel is too small. I haven't even seen, nor ridden one, but it just seems to me the supension doesn't move enough for something that is going to be jumped hard.

The thing does look extremely tempting on paper tho.

wow...that was such a mature and informative comment. The next quad that you hate, let me know...I'll hate it too for the SAME reasons!
