What oil and mixture are you guys running in your banshees?? (Stock ones, if that matters.)
I know that the manual calls for 24:1 Yamalube, but that is expensive stuff, and 24:1 sounds rich. What do you think?

When my banshee was stock, I was running the Yamalube at 40 to 1 .
I know the Yamalube is costly..But seems to be a good oil that can handle the colder temps too.

I've run Golden Spectro 50:1, but the shee ran way too hot. I've tried Yamalube and Maxima, but I prefer Klotz Super Techniplate. I run it at 32:1, and you have to love that smell!

so the recommended 24:1 is rich, and running 32:1 won't hurt the engine?

It seems most people recomend 32:1, that is what I run. As for oil price, if you plan on running oil that is designed for ATVs (which I would strongly suggest) the Yamalube is alot cheaper than some of the other stuff like Klotz, Maxima, and Bel-Ray. I buy the Maxima Castor927 and it usually runs from $5 to $6.50 per 16oz bottle depending where I buy it.

For Regular 2 stoke oils (Yamalube)mix it at 32:1
For full synthetics (am$oil) mix it at 40:1
