got a 450 Kodiak and the same as the grizzly and love the machine, it has never left me stranded. I use it mostly for hunting and it does everything from pulling dic's to dragging deer out of the woods. Also has been know to pull up some stumps around the house.
It is truly a work horse of a machine, I don't think you would regret getting one.
Good Luck;

Aftermarket products for the 450 have come a long way over the last few years also. Used to be hard to find anything worth adding to these machines. With it's increase in popularity there are now lots of great companies developing add ons these days.
BTW the link to the elka review is no good right now cause that sites server is down. I wrote the review though and the elkas are available for the 450!

Butch, your machine looks *Amazing*. The wheels, and Pitbull tires, the shocks, and the bar set up really make it look well set up!
I did finally purchase a set of Fox snowmobile shocks for our Kodiak, and they work very well - much better than the original shocks. My machine now absorbs trail junk much better than her Grizzly. I still want to get a set of shocks for my wife's 2011 Grizzly 450, but I am reluctant to "cheap out", like I did with my Kodiak. Even though the Fox sled shocks work well, her machine is pretty much brand new, and I want to buy a full set of purpose made shocks for her. The Grizzly front shocks are only 13.5" long, as compared to the Kodiak's 14.5" units. The rear shocks on both machines appears to be identical at 14.75".
I may be contacting Elka or Works to get a full set for the Grizzly very soon.
