Default How does motor oil get to the driveshaft boot?

I am losing my motor oil. It goes straight into the boot that surrounds the driveshaft. Would this be a rear seal issue? I don't see how it could get from the engine to the driveshaft area. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like this is what its doing. Thanx in advance for your help.

Thats what I'm thinking..but what is the name of the seal? Is it rear engine seal, or transmission, or what? I know it's where the driveshaft goes, but the diagram isn't very plain, at least not to me . Thank you for your help.

Where is it exactly leaking if you look at the middle drive gear break down you will see a o-ring that seals the outer part to the motor is it leaking around this or is it leaking from the seal that goes on the yoke if its that seal make sure to check for a groove in the yoke where the seal rides as they tend to make a groove and then the seal looses tension on it to retain the oil.

I haven't torn it down, got too much mandatory over time this week.........my workday starts at 4:30 AM and I don't get home til after 7:00 pm, sometimes as late as 10.....That's why I want as much information as I can get, ahead of time, so I know what to pay special attention to.

Thank you very much EPI Shawn for your help. Anyone else, please chime in.

Thank you, RD
