They are built off of the old warriors. Do regular maintenance and oil changes and you'll be riding it for a very long time. IMO they are one of the most reliable machines out there.

Change oil often. No longer than 30 hours or so. Clean air filter after ever few rides depending on condition. Anything will die if abused but, it can take a hard ride.

You must use an oil designed for motorcycles. These oils are designed for engines where the clutch rides in the same oil. Bel-ray, yamalube or such. Synthetic is not necessary in my opinion. I think alot are blends. And yes, you want to oil you filter after you clean it. The oil helps catch fine dust particles and keeps the engine good and clean.

Any more questions ya have lay them out man. Here to help. If you do these things we are talking about that raptor will scream for years to come.

could i change the oil with the 10w30 just till i get the atv stuff since it was rebuilt?
so as long as its good with wet clutch it doesnt matter what oil?

You don't want to use the automotive oil, it could cause your clutches to slip. so don't put the wrong oil in there. It doesn't matter what brand of oil you use, like said above as long as it's for wet clutches. I always ran Yamalube in my Yamahas. As for the oil filter, I just changed mine after evry couple of oil changes and I never had any problems. That engine should last many years with no problems if you treat it right. Weak links on these machines are not the engine but the rear axle bearings, front a-arm ball joints, and the upper engine mounts. also keep the chain from getting too loose so it won't pop off and bust your engine cases and you should be all set!
