probably 50mph if you haven't adjusted the throttle limiter, you might not gain too much more though,,, a couple or more clicks maybe

No way 50. I had a 99 Arctic Cat 500 that would do 53-54 on pavement off a GPS. No way a Grizzly 550 is slower on top than that old tank.

I have a Grizzly 700, same frame, different engine, I would say you should be able to get 60 or a little better out of the 550, it just takes a bit to get up to top speed with the bigger frame.

Bottom line is, if you want to run a quad at top speed, this is not the one to have.

How fast will your 700 go ? The only difference between the 550 and the 700 is the engine bore . The 550 is 92 x 84mm and the 700 is 102 x 84mm not much difference .

I've never topped it out on the trails, and I have bigger tires on it, so dont know how that affects the speedo, but some runs down the ditch by my house has gotten me 54 with throttle to go, but the ditch was too bumpy to risk pushing it. Other Grizzly riders have said 65 or more is what they are getting on their 700s.

From looking around the net on various Yamaha forms the 700 Grizzly guys are topping out around 68 MPH , and the 550 Grizzly guys are topping out around 63 MPH . Which sounds about right to me .
