I have recently purchased this quad among a few others and I have noticed that at idle the headlight is very dim, almost not on. When you rev the engine the light gets bright and will stay that way until the engine idles down. If it were a car I would say my alternator is going out. But a quad doesn't have an alternator. What is that I need to replace on this little quad to make the light bright again for my kids on the trails?

Thanks in advance, Mike

It does have an alternator, somethings got to keep the battery charged. They just call it a different name cause there's several pieces that make it up. But there's the magneto/stator assembly, voltage regulator, and a lighting coil that all work the lights, maybe a few other pieces. I would test the voltage regulator 1st, sounds like it's not regulating.
