Default 99 bear tracker

Hi all, i have a 1999 bear tracker that has very low hours on it. I got it about two months ago, did normal maintenance on it. I ride it every week at least one day a week, last week didnt have the chance. So yesterday i go and start it, put choke on etc and she starts up, then i walked in the house and came out it was off. Thought maybe it was still cold, so i tried again to realize it just cranks and dosent want to turn over. I pulled the spark plug out and dont see a spark. Anyone else ever have this problem. CDI BOX, capacitor what could it be, also does anyone know where i can get the ohm readings so i can check to see what isnt getting the right about of juice??
Thanks guys

try the easiest things first. replace the spark plug. recheck for spark as you ground the new plug and crank it. inspect the coil wire for cracks or any physical deterioration. like i stated, let's check the easy stuff before you spend a lot of money changing out the CDI/etc.......

Default maybe found the problem

so today i tested the pick up coil today and found out that the reading was at 0 and the source coil readings were up to specs. I also checked the kill switch and that tests out ok also. I should say me friend who is a boat mecanic did it. He knows what hes doing. So i guess its the pick up coil correct?
Thanks
