Default Backfring

My wolverine 350 is backfiring through the exhaust in 4th and 5th gear. Is it running rich or lean. Carb was just redone

Apply the choke when it dose it. If It gets better it is lean. If it get worse or no change it's rich. An exhuast leak by the head pipe can cause a backfire thru the exhuast also.
