1998 Big Bear 350 4x4 -- No Spark
#11
Holy Moly!! I just tried replacing that bad wire with a good one. Smoked like crazy. I take it this would indicate a short? I'm looking at pulling the couling off it so I can actually gain access to the whole harness.

Pulled cowling off. The wire I cut it back & added on another's chunk of #10. There was smoke coming from a wire who h I think was the remaining existing wire
I'm out of time and will be taking to the repair shop this weekend. I'll let you all know what it was when I get it back.
Thank You all for your help!!

double check your quick connects, sometimes a blade will push back inside and not make good contact. i presume you're using your ohm meter/voltmeter to chase down where you have voltage and where you don't as you pass through the system? that'd be a good indicator, continuity checks.
