played around with it some more tonight, tried changing the a/f screw didn't help any. Tore the carb apart again and cleaned it all out. tested compression and it was 121. double checked it wasn't the parking brake problem... really at a loss on this one... all i can think of left would be to check timing or the float level.

also as an update it is running better, but the problem now is that it still isn't making any power. My buddies kids honda 90 is faster and his honda 250 2x4 would blow it away.

It's still running really reach and I can't figure out why. Running with the air box lid off didn't help, running without the air filter at all didn't help. The diagphrams in the carb are in perfect condition.

Check your CVT belt and clucthes. Take the cover off, raise the rear wheels and make sure the clucthes are moving full in and out and that the belt is not slipping. As one clutch moves in the other move out. The belt needs to move with them.

You might want to try lowering the main needle clip a couple notches and try that. Should lean it out some. Sounds like Its either rich or not getting full throttle. Just double check to make sure the throttle is opening all the way. A video of it would also help if you can get one.

I will try and get a video this weekend. I bought a carb kit and put that in and it is running better now but still no where near like it should be. Has no power. In 4th gear it wont even hold speed up a slight incline. It's still running really rich. I put the needle in the top position, which drops the needle and should be running lean now? Even with the need there and the a/f mixture screw only 1 turn out it is still running rich, plug is black.

If I don't figure it out this weekend I'm going to take it in and have it looked at. I've had it apart about 10 times now lol.

Parking brake was already unhooked so it's not that. Set the valves, then set them again to make sure it was done correctly. Cleaned carb several times. Then did a carb kit. Also changed the oil (it was REALLY low) and changed the front and rear diff fluid.

i know i already mentioned it but make sure all your carb and intake boots arent cracked and fit tight, too much air makes it run rich too. other then that maybe its not the correct air filter?

air filter looks correct. I tried moving the carb around with it running and no air leak sounds, also sprayed carb cleaner on it and didn't get any increase in rpms.
